This is a good example of good guide design. I ve used it lot in HK.
Great book as usual. I buy it every year and try to work my way through some of the restaurants. Although I am not sure why some of them are listed, when there are clearly better ones close by. Perhaps the reviews should eat out more ? :p
I probably should have read the entire description of this Michelin Guide. The title led me to believe it was a tour guide for Hong Kong and Macau. I was very disappointed to see that all this book does is discuss restaurants and hotels. If I want a hotel review I will go to travelocity.com or tripadvisor.com. Thank goodness I also bought "Top 10 Hong Kong (EYEWITNESS TOP 10 TRAVEL GUIDE)." This is an excellent reference and I am going to thoroughly enjoy its recommendations once I get to Hong Kong. For the future of the Michelin Guide, well, I am going to leave it in the lobby of my hotel and hope someone picks it up who can use it. If someone cannot make up their mind where to eat after reading this 500 page tome, they probably should not be allowed outside without a keeper. I probably need a keeper to prevent me from wasting money in the future.
